Firefox: Click on "tools", then "options..." which opens the options window. Click the "Privacy Tab". Scan down the list of check boxes. In the "Cookies" section check the box "Accept cookies from sites." It is your decision whether or not to accept cookies. You then need to decide how long to keep cookies. Most users will select "keep until they expire." The OSC cookies expire as soon as you leave the OSC site.

Our web site works best using the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox. If you're not sure whether you are using the most up-to-date versions of these browsers, use the update facility provided by your browser to download and install the newest version on your computer.

Getting Started
Our web site is isolated from our historical business data base. Any information about your previous years' orders and contact information is not accessible through this web site. Only after you register will the information gathered be available to you through the "my account" facility.

When registering please provide all the information requested even though this may seem redundant based on your ordering history in past years.

Your account is not preregistered. We depend on you to register your account. If you purchased seeds last year or in previous years using any method (online, by mail or telephone), you will need to register with our web site to place orders. This year's registration will be active into the future as long as you maintain your email address as registered.

If you don't have an online account, this is the time to create one.

If you click on the "Register Now" link above, you will go directly to the sign up form to register an account. For your security, only one account is possible for an email address. Your email address is your account ID. The password is your choice. Simply enter it in the "password" box and retype it in the next box. You create your own password, we don't assign it to you. Try a combination of words and numbers.

Sometimes when invalid account credentials are entered by you, you will be greeted with an error message that tells you that the user name (email address) is in use. This only happens if the registered password as entered is incorrect. Have our system send an email to you containing the correct password. This service is available by clicking on the link "Forgot password or password isn't working," below:

Please type your password and email exactly as entered at registration.

Computers do exactly what they are told. Computers won't suggest or guess at different spellings for passwords and emails. Passwords used by our site are "case sensitive" which means if the password contains a mix of upper case and lower case letters, they must be typed as upper and lower case letters.

When registering, please make sure your email is correct. Your email as entered must be exactly correct for the password reminder to work. If you type in an email that is incorrect, the system will not be able to email you. Email addresses are very exacting things. If there are any errors (any errors at all) in the email as typed at registration, and no matter how small an error, messages can't be sent to you.

At some other time when you return to the web site, click the "sign in" link on the Home page and fill in the email address and password you use.

Once you have an account and are signed in, try exploring the site. Jump right in. You can't unintentionally create orders or incur charges.

You are in complete control.

Click on any of the illustrations on the home page. Perhaps "Annuals". Click and click throughout, please become comfortable with the site's organization, which we call "drill-down". Your next move is to "drill-down" into our web site by clicking on headings that either change colour when the mouse pointer passes over them or you're invited to "click here" or the little "pointing finger" cursor appears.

Eventually after clicking on headings of interest, you will encounter opportunities to order items. If you enter a quantity into an order field, remember to click "add to basket" or we won't know you ordered the item.

You can also return to any level in the web site's organization by clicking on any heading with a link. For example, perhaps you drilled-down to Romano Beans but want to look at annuals. Return to the Home page by clicking on the OSC logo or "home" in the menu at the top of your screen. Click on the "annuals" illustration. Perhaps you want to move from Romano Beans to Peas. Just click on the "vegetables" heading to return to the top of the vegetable section.

Placing orders
1) Cookies must be enabled.

2) Make sure you have an account and are signed in. We can't process your order unless you have signed in.

3) You can place orders by drilling down to each item's page and enter your requirements into the form at the bottom of the page. If you know the catalogue number (product code), you can use the order form located by clicking on the "Quick Order" illustration found on the Home page.

4) Remember to click on "add to basket" when finished. If you don't click on the "add to basket" link, your order will not be recorded.
