Daily Order Limits – what does it all mean?
Are we running out of seeds?
NO. Phewf! Now we have that out of the way, let’s talk about our daily order limit…
We are committed to maintaining our 5-10 Business Day* shipping standard for most orders. To make this possible, we have set a daily order limit on our website. When the order limit is reached, the website will automatically stop accepting new orders until the next business day. Do not worry- we are not running out of seed.
As many of you know, 2020 was the busiest year in OSC history! Since then, we’ve bulked up our supply, beefed up our mail order department, and bumped up the delivery dates for our seed displays across Canada. We’re sending out more seed racks and mail orders than ever before! We are thrilled by this return to gardening in Canada and it’s incredible to have so many of our new gardeners from 2020 come back to us in 2021.
And remember, you can skip the shipping altogether by finding OSC seeds in a store near you. Our own retail store at 16 King St S in Waterloo (ON) is now open for in-store shopping. Please note due to covid-19 restrictions, the number of customers in the store will be limited and there may be a line. A number of our retail partners across Canada have also received their OSC seed displays! We encourage you to support your locally-owned garden centres, hardware stores and grocery stores by choosing them to supply your OSC seeds this year. Not familiar with the OSC retailers near you? Are you still accepting orders by mail?
Yes. If you would like to place your order by mail, please fill out the order form in our catalogue and send it to: Box 7 – Waterloo ON – N2J 3Z6.
If you are not running out of seeds, why are larger sizes out of stock?
We have restricted some large volume orders at our discretion and will continue to do so. Our priority is to ensure our food producers and home gardeners have what they need for this year.
Can I change my order after it is placed?
No. You cannot change or combine orders after they are placed. If you need to change your order, please cancel it and place it again. To cancel your order, please call our head office at 519-886-0557.
If an item I ordered is out of stock, will you make a substitution?
No. If an item is unavailable it will be removed from your order and you will not be charged for it. You will be notified by email if an item in your order is unavailable.
How long will it take my order to ship?
We are processing most orders in 5-10 business days. Please note- all couriers are experiencing delays. Please use your tracking number to follow your shipment.
Can I place an order for pickup?
Yes. Our retail store in Uptown Waterloo (Ontario) is open for curbside pickup. Please contact the store directly to arrange your order: email@example.com
Orders placed through our website are strictly mail-order. They are processed and shipped from our warehouse in Kitchener and cannot be changed to curbside pickup at our store.
