Vigorous and hardy, this non-heading type of cabbage is used extensively as a source of tender, vitamin rich greens.
Culture: Grows best on well-drained soils. Sow seeds in late May or early June 1 cm (1/2") deep and about 2.5 cm (1") apart in rows 60 cm (24") apart. Gradually thin seedlings to 25 cm (10") apart. Keep evenly watered through the growing season. After 2 months of growth, begin harvesting by cutting individual leaves rather than pulling the entire plant.
