A great new version of the ever popular, multi-coloured lupines but now they are available in a more dwarf habit. Maturing to 40 cm (16") in height, this compact blend of blue, red pink, yellow and white flowers makes for a wonderful mass planting in the garden. The dwarf habit also makes this lupine suitable for containers. Hardy to Zone 5

How To Grow
45-50 seeds/gram. A somewhat finicky perennial to start, it requires a cooler temperature of 16 C (60 F) for germination (which normally requires about 20 days). Soak seed for 24 hours prior to sowing indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost date. After germination, grow on under lights at the same temperature before hardening off and transplanting to a sunny site in the garden or containers. A second option -after soaking seeds for 24 hours, direct garden seed can be in early spring as soon as the soil reaches a temperature of 16 C (60 F). Direct garden seeding can also be done late in the fall. Plants can then be transferred from the garden to containers in the following spring if so desired.
