A beautiful herb with aromatic fern-like foliage. Plants grow to 30 cm (12″) in height. Fernleaf dill makes a lovely container plant. A good plant for those gardeners that grow dill mostly for the leaves. And of course like all other dill, it is attractive to butterflies! Annual.
How to Grow
720 seed/gram In a sunny site with average soil, direct sow seeds no more than 6 mm (1/4″) deep and 2.5 cm (1″) apart Seeding can be done anytime from mid April through mid July. Successive sowings every two to three weeks work best. Thin out seedlings to 15 cm (6″) apart in the garden. Seed exposure to light benefits germination. When flower head begins to brown, cut the entire head off and hang it upside down over a tray or bag to collect the mature seed as it falls out.
