NEW for 2019! Variety originated in USA. This butterhead type is very slow to bolt to seed. Large open heads to 454 g (1 lb). Frilled green leaves have a bronze tinge with a cream coloured heart. Makes a crisp colourful addition to any salad. Good for small space gardens.
How to Grow
Sow seeds in a sunny site in successive crops every 2 weeks from April to August as long as weather is cool.
Planting Depth: 3 mm (1/8”). Seed Spacing: 12.5 mm (1/2”). Thin To: 30 cm (12”). Row Width: 45 cm (18”).
COMMENTS: For best flavour, harvest lettuce early in the morning. Keep soil evenly watered for best growth.
