A beautiful annual that’s native to Mexico and the southern USA. Very rugged plants will grow in full sun to partial shade tolerating heat and drought. Summer Icicle is an improvement over the regular “Snow On The Mountain” with white leaf colouration that’s 2 to 3 weeks earlier than before. It’s also more compact. Note: When touched, the sap may irritate the skin. Plants mature to 60 cm (2′) height.
How to Grow
88 seed/gram Sow seed outdoors mid-May where plants are to bloom or start 6 weeks early indoors in a soil-less mix maintaining a temperature within the medium of 20-22 C (70-75 F) during the 10-14 day germination period. Grow on under lights at a slightly cooler temperature then harden off and transplant to the garden after the danger of frost has passed. In the garden space plants 20-30 cm (8-12″) apart in full sun to partial shade. Tolerates even the poorest of soils.
