This bush type acorn winter squash produces creamy-white 1.4 kg (3 lb) fruit about 19 cm by 18 cm (7.5” x 5”) on compact vines. Light golden coloured flesh has a lovely nutty taste. Good storage squash. Matures in 75 days.
How to Grow
Sow direct in a sunny site in late spring after soil has reached at least 20°C (70°F). Can be started indoors in a soil-less growing medium using paper or fibre pots 3 weeks early. Seed will rot rapidly if planted into soil with a temperature less than recommended. Seed typically germinates in 6-12 days.
Planting Depth: 2.5 cm (1”). Seeds Per Hill: 6. Thin to: 4 plants/hill. Hill Spacing: 2 m (6-6”).
COMMENTS: Harvest after vine dies or after rind hardens and dulls in colour. Gather before frost leaving part of the stem attached.
