Organic Beet Seeds

🌱 Sweet, Earthy & Nutritious

Beets are a dual-purpose superstar in the garden, providing both delicious, sweet roots and highly nutritious, tender greens. They are a cool-season favourite that grows beautifully in Canadian gardens.

  • Growing Essentials: Thrives in deep, loose, well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep, spaced 5–10 cm apart in rows 30–45 cm apart. Start in early spring as soon as the soil is workable, and again in mid-summer for a fall harvest.

  • Succession Sowing: To ensure a continuous supply throughout the season, sow new seeds every two to three weeks.

  • Thinning: Thinning is key to large root development; use your thinnings as delicious baby salad greens.

  • Care: Keep the soil consistently moist to prevent roots from becoming woody. Ensure the area is well-weeded to allow the beets room to expand.
