What you need to know to Plant & Grow

When to Plant: Sow seeds directly outdoors in a sunny spot in mid-to-late May. For an earlier harvest, start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date.

How to Plant: Sow seeds 3 mm deep. If starting indoors, maintain a temperature of 21°C during the 5-10 day germination period, then grow on at a cooler temperature before hardening off and transplanting outside after all danger of frost has passed.

Care: Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart in the garden. For the best flavour and tenderness, harvest young shoots when they are 5-15 cm long. Arugula thrives in cooler weather. Be sure to keep the soil consistently moist.
