Chinese Tianjin Celery Seeds (Aimers International) 2800. Hybrid. Variety originated in China.
Approx. 500 seeds/pkt (3,000 seeds/gram)
Smaller and more delicate than standard celery. Stems are thin, typically hollow and quite crisp. Medium green coloured young leaves and stems are used to add both flavour and aroma to stir-fries, soup and stews. Matures in 60 days.
How to Grow
Start seed indoors in a sterile medium 4-6 weeks before plant out time or direct sow seed in mid spring as long as weather is cool (50-60°F).
Planting Depth: 3 mm (1/8”). Seed Spacing: 12.5 mm (1/2”). Thin to: 20 cm (8”). Row Width: 50 cm (20”)
COMMENTS: Plants grow vigorously in cool weather. Keep soil well-watered for best growth. Some shade is beneficial in warm summer weather.
