This variety produces unique conical-shaped heads that mature very early in the season. With a crisp but tender texture and a delicious flavour, this is an excellent choice for a quick, high-quality cabbage harvest.

Early Jersey Wakefield is a short-season variety that is best started indoors to ensure a successful, early harvest.

Planting: Sow seed indoors in a soil-less mix 5 weeks before your last frost date. Sow seeds 6 mm deep and keep at 20°C for the 7-10 day germination period. Grow on at a slightly cooler temperature, then harden off and plant outside in late May.
