Excelsior Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) is a magnificent biennial favourite celebrated for its extra-early blooming, stately spires reaching 1.5 m in height. Bearing horizontal, bell-shaped flowers in a lovely blend of pink, rose, purple, cream, primrose, and white, each bloom is beautifully accented with heavily spotted throats. Reaching full stature in its second year, ‘Excelsior’ freely reseeds itself once established, creating a continuous, permanent display year after year.
