Thin emerging seedlings to 10 cm apart in the row to give them plenty of space to develop. For best growth, irrigation is essential. With successive sowings two weeks apart, you can enjoy a continuous harvest. Crops can be harvested as little as six to eight weeks after sowing, but are best when the stem reaches 5-7.5 cm in diameter. Germination occurs in 7-10 days.
