What you need to know to Plant & Grow
- Sowing: This mix adores the sun and the gentle breezes of a cool season. Sow your seeds in rows 45 cm apart, about 3 mm deep spaced 5 mm apart, just as the earth awakens in the spring. Sow every two weeks for a continuous feast.
- Care: An even supply of moisture during the entire growth period is imperative for success.
- Harvesting: Harvest by either pulling the entire plant or by cutting leaves from the main stem at least 2.5 cm above the base—this will allow the plants to sprout new leaves. Once the plants start to bolt (produce a rapidly growing flower stem), the leaves become bitter.
- Germination: Germination occurs in approximately 7 days.
