Aimers Mini Mow Jumbo Wildflower Seed Mixture 3042

A Colorful, Low-Maintenance Turf Alternative for Slopes and Challenging Areas.

Pretty but tough! The Aimers Mini Mow Jumbo Wildflower Seed Mixture is a resilient, low-profile ground cover blend specially engineered for sunny slopes, hard-to-mow banks, and as a eco-friendly replacement for traditional lawns. This clever combination of self-seeding annuals and creeping perennials provides a colorful carpet that suppresses weeds and withstands poor soils. Best of all, it requires minimal maintenance—mow just twice a year to maintain a tidy 15 cm (6″) height!

What you need to know to Plant & Grow

This mixture uses a natural corn meal carrier to make broadcast seeding smooth, even, and hassle-free.

  • Timing:

    • Zones 5 & Warmer: Sow from mid-May to late spring.

    • Colder Zones: Wait until late May through mid-June once soil has thoroughly warmed.

  • Site Preparation: Choose a sunny location. Clear out all existing weeds and loosen the top 2.5 cm (1″) of soil to create an ideal seedbed.

  • Sowing: Shake the container thoroughly before applying to blend the seeds and corn meal carrier evenly. Spread the mixture uniformly across your site.

  • Establishment: Lightly rake the seeds into the soil, then tamp down or roll gently to ensure solid seed-to-soil contact. Keep the seedbed consistently moist throughout the 2–4 week germination period.

  • Maintenance: Mow once in mid-summer and once in late fall to a height of 15 cm (6″) to keep growth uniform and clean.
