What you need to know to Plant & Grow
Nurturing these plants is a simple joy. Beans have a distinct dislike for cold, wet soils, so wait to sow your seeds until the soil has warmed to at least 16°C.
Planting: Sow seeds 2.5 cm deep and 8 cm apart in rows spaced 45 to 70 cm apart. This variety produces big, bushy plants up to 45 cm wide, so give them plenty of room to grow.
Care: To ensure a continuous harvest, make successive sowings every 10 days until mid-July. Keep the plants evenly watered, particularly when they are flowering and starting to produce pods. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilizers. When leaves are damp, avoid disturbing the plants to reduce the risk of disease. Germination occurs in 5-10 days.
