What you need to know to Plant & Grow

Copenhagen Market Cabbage is a short-season variety that is best started indoors to ensure a timely harvest.

Planting: Sow seed indoors in a soil-less mix 5 weeks before your last frost date. Sow seeds 6 mm deep and keep at 20°C for the 7-10 day germination period. Grow on at a slightly cooler temperature, then harden off and plant outside in late May.

Care: Space plants 45 cm apart in rows with the rows 75 cm apart.

Why Copenhagen Market Cabbage Seeds belong in Your Garden

For a dependable, high-quality cabbage harvest, the Copenhagen Market is an excellent choice. Its short maturity time makes it a great option for gardeners with a shorter growing season. The solid, uniform heads with tender white flesh are perfect for a variety of culinary uses, from fresh salads to cooking, but they are particularly well-suited for making superb sauerkraut. This long-standing heirloom proves that classic varieties remain favourites for a reason.
