You can begin harvesting baby greens as early as 30 days after planting, with full-size savoyed leaves ready in about 60 days.

What you need to know to Plant & Grow
Sow seed directly outdoors 1 cm deep in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm apart to give them plenty of room to grow. Kale is very cold tolerant and its flavour actually develops best after the fall frosts, so you can enjoy fresh kale even in late autumn. Germination occurs in 7-10 days.
